Questions about booking:

On our website we offer you the cheapest rate. If you book directly with us, we don’t have to pay any commission and pass these savings on to you!

Yes. Please note, that cancellation fees may apply for your cancellation. The cancellation fees can be found in your reservation confirmation or are listed in the room rate description before booking.

The cancellation policy can be found when selecting the room rate or in your booking confirmation. To offer you the best price and meet your needs we offer different room rates with different cancellation policies (free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival or non-free cancellation). We always recommend to get a travel insurance so that you are protected.

Before booking: The cancellation policy is described in detail in the room rate.

After booking: In your booking confirmation you will find the cancellation policy.

You can cancel your booking at any time:

If you have made your booking on our website, you will find a link in the reservation confirmation with which you can manage or cancel your reservation.

If you have booked by phone or e-mail, please send us an e-mail.

If you have booked through an online travel agency, you can cancel the reservation in your booking account or contact the online provider directly. (Unfortunately, we can’t help you with cancellations when booking through third party platforms, but your preferred agencies customer service can certainly help you.)

If you want to change your travel dates, simply use the link in your online reservation booking confirmation. Or send us a message. Not all rates can be changed free of charge: it is not possible to change the dates of a non-refundable booking. If you have booked with us direct, send us a message. If your booking was made through an online travel platform, please contact their customer service.

We ask for your understanding that we cannot put rooms on hold. However, we are happy to receive a definite booking subject to availability.

We offer 3 different room categories: BASE (standard double room), PLUS (premium double room) or TRIAD (triple room for 2 adults and 1 child under 12 years.)

We have the room type TRIAD: This room type is suitable for 2 adults and 1 child under 12 years of age. We do not offer the possibility to accommodate additional children or guests in this room type. Our BASE or PLUS rooms can accommodate a maximum of 2 guests. However, you can book several rooms.

In our BASE (standard double room) we offer the option that 1 child under 3 years of age can stay in the room with the parents for an additional fee. (Request in Advance) In other room categories this is not possible.

We offer our BASE or PLUS room as a single room. The rate for single occupancy is cheaper than for the standard occupancy. The maximum occupancy is 1 guest when booking a single occupancy room.

In our BASE (standard double room) we offer the possibility of a baby cot for an additional fee (please make a reservation in advance). Additional beds or baby cots in other room types are not possible.

All our rooms are equipped with large double beds, we do not provide 2 single beds. The bed configuration is always one large double bed.

The deposit is displayed in the reservation overview when booking. You will also find information regarding required deposits in your booking confirmation. Not all rates require a deposit (the note ‘Book now, pay later’ indicates that payment will be due once at the hotel).

For an online bookings a credit or a debit card (which supports online payments) is required. We offer rates that are paid upon booking or at the hotel. The credit or debit card will always be used as a guarantee.

If you don’t have a credit card, you can book via email. However, this will require a deposit payment as a guarantee.

Your room is ready for check-in from 3:00 PM. Check-in from 3:00 PM

Our reception is open until 9:00 PM.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to check in outside of our reception hours. Our reception is open until 9:00 PM. Please plan your arrival so that you have picked up your room key at reception by this time, otherwise you will not be able to check in as we do not leave keys.

No. Our reception is open from 7:30 AM until 9:00 PM. Outside this time, we can only be reached in emergencies (no late check-in).

No. All our rooms are non-smoking. Smoking inside the room is not permitted! However, you can smoke on your balcony.

Pets are not allowed in the hotel.

Questions before your arrival:

From Vienna on the A1 or from Munich on the A9 you drive to the junction Salzburg and continue on the Tauern motorway A10 in the direction of Villach. At the exit Golling (Exit 28) you leave the motorway. Now drive towards Lammertal and Abtenau, through the village of Abtenau till you reach Russbach.

If you come from the direction of Villach/Graz on the Tauern motorway A10 you can leave the motorway in Eben/Pongau (Exit 60). Drive through St. Martin and Annaberg-Lungötz before arriving in Russbach.

Take the ÖBB trains to Golling/Abtenau station. Then take the post bus no. 470 towards Gosau via Abtenau to Russbach. You can find fares and timetables online at the Salzburger Verkehrsverbund. (Travel time from Salzburg Central Station to the hotel approx. 01:15 hours)

You can fly into Salzburg Airport W. A. Mozart or the nearby Munich Airport Franz Josef Strauss. From there you can use public transportation. Or rent a car at the airport.

We are happy to arrange a transfer from Salzburg Airport, Munich Airport or from the main train station in Salzburg. Just send us a message and we will make an offer. Alternatively, there are taxis from the airport/train station.

If you plan to explore the region and surrounding destinations, we recommend you rent a car for a stay in our village. We have a partner that offers car rentals at the best price.

Questions during the stay:

Your room is ready from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. Depending on availability and a surcharge, you may be able to check-in earlier.

Our reception is open from 07:30 AM until 09:00 PM. Outside of this time, we are available for emergencies. However, we do not offer a 24-hour reception.

Our country house breakfast is served from 7:30 AM until 10:00 AM

We do our best to meet your specific dietary requirements. Please let us know ahead of time (preferably when booking). We are happy to provide gluten-free bread and lactose-free milk.

We offer a selection of different types of breads, jams, cheeses, vegetables and cereals. We are sure you will find you something delicious.

Our honesty bar is open until 11:00 PM.

We offer free parking right in front of the hotel.

We are happy to keep your bike in our garage.

Restaurants are located directly in the village – about 5 minutes walking distance.

It takes approx. 50 minutes to drive to Salzburg. (65 kilometers)

It takes approx. 25 minutes to drive to Hallstatt (20 kilometers). By public transport it takes you about 1 hour (depending on the timetable). If you take the bus to Hallstatt you have to change buses twice. Paid parking is available in Hallstatt and are signposted.

Questions about departure:

Your room must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Check-out is until 10:00 AM

Depending on availability and a surcharge, it might be possible to arrange late check-out.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, UnionPay) debit cards (Maestro, Mastercard, Visa) or NFC payments (Apple Pay).

If you’ve forgotten something in your room, just send us a message. We are happy to send your left items by mail. (Please note that we have to charge you the postage fees.)

You are welcome to settle your bill the night before – so you can check out at any time. Use our fast check-out and simply throw your room key into the designated keybox. Our reception is open from 7:30 AM to settle bills and check-out in person.
